THIS IS FOR ADULT LEARNERS ENROLLED ON ENTERPRISE AND EMPLOYABILITY SKILLS.

Students will develop employability skills through planning and running enterprise projects. As part of this they will also visit shops and markets to see how other businesses showcase products and practice interacting with staff in a business setting.

A payment of £160 is required to cover these costs and should be paid in full by 03 November 2024.

Students recieving a Learning Support Fund (LSF) may have some or all costs covered by their bursary.

Description

THIS IS FOR ADULT LEARNERS ENROLLED ON THE INDEPENDENT LIVING COURSE.

This focuses on being able to independently prepare meals at home. Students will understand the importance of planning and making shopping lists, this will support them later in the year when they will develop community access by accessing local shops for their ingredients.

They will develop their food hygiene and safe kitchen practices through use of the professional kitchen practicing simple cooking activities for meals they can make independently.

They will also develop understanding of correct cleaning practices, including how to wash up, clean floors and use a washing machine to support wider independence at home.

A payment of £160 is required to cover these costs and should be paid in full by 03 November 2024.

Adult Learners - Keeping Healthy

Description

THIS IS FOR ADULT LEARNERS WHO ARE ENROLLED ON THE KEEPING HEALTHY COURSE.

Students will develop a healthier lifestyle with an initial focus on mental health and equipping themselves with strategies to support and improve their emotional wellbeing.

This will be through accessing social environments and engaging in group activities with a wider variety of peers, as well as grounding activities that students can do independently.

Later in the year they will begin developing their physical health by taking part in sports activities and visiting local community spaces where they can exercise as well as gaining the benefits of fresh air.

A payment of £160 is required to cover these costs and should be paid in full by 03 November 2024.
