Childcare Centre

Welcome to The Childcare Centre.

Bridgwater & Taunton College Childcare Centre is a Nursery operating in the grounds of our Bridgwater Campus, a short walk from the town of Bridgwater. We are open to the public and also provide childcare for staff and students at the College.

Our philosophy at BTCC is that children are active learners in the Early Years Foundation Stage and they learn best though play. We believe each child deserves the best possible start in life, and that children who experience high quality early years provision achieve better outcomes and develop abilities that are needed to become lifelong learners.

We believe all children have the right to be understood as individuals and to be given time and opportunity to develop as creative, competent learners in an inspiring environment, with lots of access to the outdoors.

Our vision is to create a place that values caring, respectful relationships and make the voice of the child central to everything.

A child’s first step into nursery is also a first step to independence; at Bridgwater & Taunton College Childcare Centre our goal is to encourage that independence through educational activities that are fun and stimulating. It is a big, exciting world out there and we want children to leave for their next steps in life, equipped for the journey.
