Residentials & VisitsSouth Africa Trip - Uniformed Protective ServicesDescriptionLevel 3 Uniformed Protective Services students are going to Port Elizabeth, South Africa for 16 days (including travel) to volunteer for the 'United Through Sport' charity. The charity looks to educate and inspire children within the deprived township areas. The students will support in local schools, orphanages and local communities. Students will help to educate young students on key topics such as English, maths and Gender based Violence. Students will also support within an orphanage and help to build essential infrastructure such as fences to help keep the orphanage safe. Students will help to grow fruit and vegetables in schools which will be used to help feed the children in the local community. Students will also undertake visits related to the uniformed protective services, such as fire station and police station. Students will develop social, personal and employability skills during their visit. Lastly, students will also have the opportunity to experience some of the African culture. The total cost of the trip is £2100.00 and can either be paid in full or in instalments as follows: £2100.00 in full by 13/09/2024 £500.00 to be paid by 13/09/2024 (deposit) £800.00 to be paid by 29/11/2024 (instalment 1) £800.00 to be paid by 31/01/2025 (instalment 2) Please note, these are deadlines for payment, payments cannot be accepted after the date, however, you can pay in advance of the date if you wish to. |
