Statue of Liberty

£600.00

Description

New York Residential - Sunday 2nd February 2025 - Friday 7th February 2025

Detailed Description

We are very pleased to be able to offer students the opportunity to come with us on a residential to New York this coming academic year and are offering this experience to all Level 2, level 3, Creative A level and HE Creative Arts students.

This residential will include subject appropriate visits to the great studios, galleries, museums or Performing Arts workshops (itinerary dependent on numbers within each subject). There will also be sightseeing visits such as the Empire State building, Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty, and a chance to watch a Broadway show.

The cost of this residential will be £1390 which will cover flights, transfers, B&B accommodation (grab and go breakfast), entry to venues and Subway travel. Meals, visas and comprehensive travel insurance are not included in the cost and must therefore be budgeted for.

Please note by paying a deposit you are agreeing to the terms set out in your trip letter and summerised below:

  • In order to book a place, students must have a valid passport (with 6 months validity from the date of departure as a minimum)
  • A copy of the passport must be given to the department admin by Friday 30th October 2024.
  • Once you have secured a place, all students must also obtain a visa (ESTA). A copy of the ESTA must be given to the department admin by 2nd December 2024
  • We are staying at the IHG Crowne Plaza Hotel Times Square on Broadway. Being a hotel means that students are required to share a double bed, which is non-negotiable. We will of course aim as much as it is possible to ensure that you are sharing with a selected friend.
  • This trip is accessible, however, if a student requires to attend with a personal assistant/additional staffing, this additional place would be chargeable.
  • Attendance must remain above 85% and the student will not be subject to any cause for concern or disciplinary action.

The remaining balance for the trip must be paid in two further instalments:

£395 will need to be paid by Friday 1st November 2024

£395 will need to be paid by Monday 2nd December 2024

All deposits are non-refundable unless the trip is cancelled by the college, so please ensure you read all details outlined in your trip letter - if you need a further copy please ask your department admin.
